Abstract

1358384 Platform elevator B PURSER 25 May 1972 [27 April 1971] 11618/71 Heading B8H [Also in Division F1] A portable platform elevator comprises a telescopic framework, the lower section 6 of which is mounted on a base frame 5 and the upper section 8 mounts a platform 9 for an operator. A telescopic hydraulic actuator 20 is mounted between the platform and the base frame and extends through the said platform whereby the platform is near the ground when the elevator is in its collapsed condition. A seat 26 is provided on the upper end of the actuator 20 and a hand or foot pump is provided on said upper section and is coupled to a reservoir (not shown) mounted beneath the platform to effect the raising of said elevator. The base frame is provided with wheels 16 and handles and stabilizers 18.
