Abstract

The novelty consists of a trolley with rigid chassis carrying a vertical end-plate mounted on a swivel-shaft between two pillars; the end-plate carries at least two thrust-pads which butt against the tuyere-housing, and a guide for the extn. rod which is operated by hydraulic jacks. At least one of the thrust pads is pref. adjustable so the angle of the end-plate can be adjusted w.r.t. the axis of the tuyere-housing. The advantage of this cheap device is that only two workers are needed whereas six men were required to operate the conventional extractor.
