Abstract

Mixing air and gas; reservoirs; reservoir pressure, regulating.-Gas is stored in reservoirs A on motor-vehicles at a pressure of about 1,000 lb. per sq. in., and flows through a reducing-valve C and a valve E to a flexible reservoir F; the valve closes when the reservoir becomes full. The gas flows through a pipe G to a nozzle J, Fig. 3, on the induction pipe or the spray carburettor. This nozzle is surrounded by, and adjusted relatively to, a cone K with controlled air openings K<4>. The gas valve H is worked from the steering-column of a motor-vehicle.
