Abstract
1,181,476. Stacker cranes. INSTITUT FUR FORDERTECKNIK LEIPZIG. 21 May, 1968, No.]24149/68. Heading B8H. In a stacker crane. Fig. 1, a guide 2 with load-forks 3 is movable into and out of the storage racks 5, 6 to set down the load. The girder 2 is moved with respect to a member 7 by hydraulic rams and has rollers 9, Fig. 3, which run on rails 8. A control cab 1 is raised by cables 15 and guided by telescopic members 14. A rotary crab 12 runs on a beam 13. Interlock devices prevent either goods or forks fouling the racks, and the forks move automatically to a selected point in the racks. The forks 3 may be extensible on both sides of the girder 2.
