Abstract

A rangefinder sighting device comprises a telescope having one objective 1 of fixed focal length and another objective 2 of variable focal length, the images formed by both objectives being simultaneously viewed in eye-piece 7, the range being determined by adjusting objective 2 until the images are the same size. A thorn sight 8 is linked to the movable elements of objective 2 for vertical movement as these elements are adjusted.
