Abstract

1442825 Stabilized optical systems NIPPON KOGAKU KK 21 Aug 1973 [28 Aug 1972] 39655/73 Heading G2J Pairs of lenses 4, 5; 6, 7 are arranged one in each pair in a tube 2 gimballed at 3, C and the other of the pair on outer housing 1, with their respective focal points at C. The pairs of lenses suffer mutual displacement and act as "optical images" to stabilize the optical axis of the combination. The gimbals are viscously damped and spring- biased to the neutral position.
