Abstract
1,180,038. Mounting members on shafts. HOBOURN-EATON MFG. CO. Ltd. 7 Sept., 1967 [16 Sept., 1966], No. 41035/67. Heading F2U. [Also in Division F1] A rotary member, e.g. a driving gear-wheel or pulley 61, of a rotary positive-displacement pump (see Division F1), is mounted: on the end of a hollow shaft 13 by means of a member 65 which is forced into the bore of the shaft to elastically expand the shaft into frictional engagement with the internal flange 60 of the pulley. To remove the pulley, the spherical member 65 is forced into a wider diameter portion 49 of the shaft 13.
