Abstract

1,179,671. Cartons. AKERLUND & RAUSING A.B. 2 Feb., 1968 [10 Feb., 1967], No. 5510/68. Heading A4G. [Also in Division B8] A carton for a roll of web material comprises four side walls 1-4 and a flap 5 which has a toothed edge and is attached to portion 8 of the side wall 1, the latter wall having a tear strip 7 defined by scored lines 10-13. The flap 5 is reinforced on its inner surface by a plastics strip 33, and is attached to a central portion of the side wall 4 defined by scored lines 26-29. In use the tear strip is removed and the central portion of the side wall 4 is detached from its end portions 30, 31, and the toothed edge is used for cutting portions of the web from the roll.
