Gas supply. - In a flat-flame gas burner of the type provided with a centrally perforated throttling-plug and with muslin disks secured above the plug, the plug has a bore of considerably greater length than its diameter and is adapted to be located mainly in the lower tapered end of the body of the burner. In one form, an externally tapered throttling plug D fits the tapered part of the burner and projects into its cylindrical part. Three or four muslin or like disks M are frictionally held above and in contact with the upper end of the plug by a-zinc or other ring, the folded edges of the disks fitting tightly inside the tubular body.
