Abstract
1,178,525. Reinforcement spacer. ENTERPRISE JEAN MANDELLI. 7 June, 1968 [7 June, 1967], No. 27232/68. Heading E1W. A spacer for use with lattice reinforcement to be situated between opposed wall-shuttering structures is formed by rod or wire and comprises a first part 5 having vertically separated spacer branches 6, 10 extending in opposite directions from extremities of an inverted L- shaped intermediate portion the horizontal limb of which defines a hairpin shaped portion lying in a horizontal plane and capable of embracing a vertical bar 1 of the lattice, and a second part .12 of inverted U-shape welded to the lower branch 6 adjacent its junction with the intermediate portion so that the horizontal portion 13 of the U may bear against the vertical bar 1 in opposition to the hairpin shaped part, the limbs 14 of the U being of wavy configuration so that they may, in use, lock behind a horizontal bar 2 of the lattice. The extremities of the branches 6, 10, which in use engage the shuttering structures, may optionally have caps 20 of non- rusting, preferably plastic material.
