Abstract

1,177,061. Ring hybrid circuits. ELECTRIC & MUSICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. 18 Jan., 1967 [19 Jan., 1966], No; 2414/66. Heading H1W. A ring hybrid circuit comprises a circular strip line 1, 2 to which coaxial sockets 4 (two shown) are connected, the inner conductors 11a, 15a &c. being connected to the line conductor 1 and the outer conductors 11, 15 &c. to the ground conductor 2. The construction is such that the circuit may be tuned to different frequencies by substituting circular line conductors of different diameters. The ground conductor 2 is provided with a closure member 3. The invention may be applied to the kind of hybrid ring having six pairs of terminals each spaced from the preceding one by a quarterwavelength (#/4), the space between the first and last being equal to 3#/4. It may be used in known fashion for coupling sound and vision transmitters to a common aerial.
