Abstract

1,174,696. Hydraulic reciprocating motors. A. RATEAU. Feb.5, 1968 [Feb.20, 1967], No.5671/68. Heading F1A. A hydraulic motor comprises a plurality of radial cylinders, Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown), each with a flexible piston member 14 located between a spring-loaded plate 16 and a member 12 engaging an eccentric 4 through a shoe 9 and a sleeve 7 supported by needle rollers 6, each cylinder having a pair of inlet ball valves 24, 25 and a pair of outlet ball valves 22, 23 actuated through push rod assemblies 50, 38, 42 by cam tracks formed on a cam-shaft 5 driven by output shaft 1. With inlet valves 24, 25 open, liquid from inlet manifold 21 passes through valve cylinder 29, passages 37, 36, valve cylinder 28 and passages 56, 57 and 17 to the motor cylinder. After rotation through 180 degrees, the inlet valves are closed and outlet valves 22, 23 opened, the liquid passing from the cylinder to outlet manifold 20 through passages 17, 57, 56, valve cylinder 27, passages 35, 34 and valve cylinder 26.
