Abstract

1,174,456. Interlaced yarns. DEUTSCHE RHODIACETA A.G. 8 Aug., 1967 [13 Aug., 1966], No. 36403/67. Heading D1F. A method of producing an interlaced multifilament yarn comprises introducing an energytransmitting fluid as a jet tangentially into a yarn duct, the fluid jet, preferably a gas or air current, being regulated by a resonance chamber and a recess being provided in the yarn duct. The yarn is supplied without overfeed and wound under tension. Apparatus for carrying out the method comprises a feed-in nozzle 2 for the fluid jet in line with a resonance chamber 3, a yarn duct 1 with a recess 5 being located tangentially between the nozzle 2 and the resonance chamber 3. The length of the resonance chamber is adjustable by means of a piston 4.
