Abstract

1,173,603. Wall brackets. A. H. QUICK and R. C. WARNER [trading as WALSALL GAUGE & TOOL CO.]. 6 July, 1967 [6 July, 1966], No. 30239/66. Heading A4B. A bracket for supporting a stored ladder comprises a wall mounted part 13 with an elongated slot 131d or 133b and a separate part 14 detachably secured to the wall part 13 by engagement of its T-shaped head 142 or 142a in the slot 131d or 133b to define a closed loop which receives the stile (11) or rung (111) of a ladder. The wall part 13 has a horizontal arm 133 on which the stile (11) is supported horizontally. In one embodiment, Fig. 3, the separate part 14 overlies the stile (11) and has an outer end overlying a flange 135 on the wall part 13 so that the hasp (151) of a padlock (15) may be passed through aligned apertures 143, 135a in the part 14 and the flange 135. In another embodiment, Fig. 6, the separate part 14a is arcuate and engages around a ring (111). A depending limb 133a on the wall part 13 has a pair of slots 133b one of which receives the T-head 142a and the other receives the padlock hasp (151) which also passes through an arcuate slot 141b in an end 14b of the separate part 14a.
