Abstract

486,459. Scaffold brackets. JONES, W. Jan. 20, 1937, No. 1653. [Class 20 (ii)] A ladder or wall bracket comprises a back bar, a bearing bar, and a strut bar, adapted to be adjustably fixed between the back bar and the bearing bar. The back bar 1 has a notched edge 16 and is provided with main and auxiliary hooks 8 and 18 respectively whereby the bracket may be supported on the rungs of a ladder or to the face of a wall. Pivoted to the back bar near its upper end is a divided support-bar 3, the outer end of which is adapted to be adjustably bolted to the end of an inclined strut bar 2, perforations 9 being provided in this bar for that purpose. The other end of the strut bar is pivoted to a casing 11 having a sliding fit on the back-bar, a spring acting releasable catch 22 with rounded inner and being provided to engage the notches on the back bar to retain the casing in adjusted position.
