Abstract

1,172,587. Heated rollers. BARMAG BARMER MASCHINENFABRIK A.G. 2 March, 1967 [30 Dec., 1966], No. 9864/67. Heading H5H. [Also in Division F2] An electrically heated godet 2 which feeds synthetic filaments, tapes or films wound about its outer surface, is connected to a hub 1, screwed to a driving shaft 5 by fan blades 3. Shaft 5 passes through a bore in a mounting plate 9 fixed to a machine frame and to which the heating device 11, 10, which may be of the inductive core-type or resistive, is connected. Cooling air circulates through bores 20 in plate 9, an annular duct 13 and grooves 21 in the hub or shaft, and between the fan blades 3. The wall thickness of godet 2 may vary axially. The godet 2 may be mounted at both ends.
