Abstract

1298483 Heated rollers BARMAG BARMER MASCHINENFABRIK AG 24 Sept 1970 [25 Sept 1969] 45517/70 Heading F2U [Also in Divisions D1 and H5] An inductively heated godet, for textile machines, tape-making machines or film-making machines, is given a linearized temperature profile by providing one or more continuous, axially undercut, recesses in the inner surface of the rotatable godet casing 2. Closed rings 15, 16, of copper, copper alloys or aluminium, may be embedded in these recesses, and have corresponding undercut portions 19 extending around their entire periphery near the ends 17 and 18 of the godet. The rings 15, 16 are produced by powder spraying or are sintered in. The core 7 of laminated iron plates has a U-shaped crosssection with equal limbs 8, 9, and is fixed to the machine frame by a support 10 so that it does not rotate with the godet casing 2 and the shaft 3.
