Abstract

1,170,886. Hydraulic couplings. SOC. ANON. FRANCAISE DU FERODO. 19 April, 1968 [20 April, 1967], No. 18708/68. Heading F2C. In an hydraulic coupling as described in Specification 1,146,840 in which the inner ends of the blades 11 terminate at an annular flow separating member 14, one end of which is spaced from the inner surface 17 of the coupling element to form an annular radial flow passage 18, the member 14 is axially adjustable to vary the area of the passage 18. As shown, member 14 is slidably mounted on a hub sleeve 22 and is provided with a series of lugs 23, each provided with an adjusting screw 32 with an external control knob 35 and lock-nut 34.
