Abstract

116,875. Welply, A. S. March 23, 1918. Studs.-In a two-part button or stud, one member is provided with a hollow shank 1, Fig. 1, having at one end a flexible protuberance 2, and the second member with a central receiving aperture extended on one side to form a longitudinal channel 3 for the passage of the protuberance, this channel opening into a recess 5 into which the protuberance is sprung by rotating one of the members. In the arrangement shown in Figs. 4 and 5, a protuberance 2<1> is disposed near the end of a split tubular shank- 1<1>, and the second member is provided with a hollow shank 4<1> having a longitudinal channel 3<1> for the passage of the protuberance, this channel leading into a transverse channel 12 which opens into a recess 5<1>.
