Abstract

1,167,814. Container filling machines. O. HOFLIGER, and R. KARG, [trading as HOFLIGER & KARG]. 4 March, 1968 [9 March, 1967], No. 10312/68. Heading B8C. A device for filling containers moving continuously in a circular path with fluent material, comprises a rotating disc, with apertures each associated with a filling funnel coincident with the containers during filling the disc forming the lower closure of filling chambers, these being movable across the disc surface so as to deposit their contents when they temporarily coincide with the disc apertures. Containers 2, below funnels 3, move continuously in unison with a rotating disc 1 which forms the base closure of two filling chambers 5 filled from a balance or other metering device 9 with loose material. Each chamber 5 is carried on an arm 6 oscillated by parallel cranks 7 to temporarily coincide with an aperture 4 in disc 1. They thus deposit their contents in two adjacent containers.
