878,963. Packaging-machines. HESSER MASCHINENFABRIK A.G., FR. March 15, 1960 [April 14, 1969], No. 9113/60. Class 94(1). [Also in Group XXX] Apparatus for filling containers with weighed quantities of powder, &c. comprises shoots pivoted so as to follow the path of and discharge into moving buckets on a chain conveyer, the filled buckets later discharging into containers moving along a corresponding path on a conveyer beneath. The weighers 2 are arranged in pairs, each one of a pair discharging alternately into a shoot 5. The buckets 4 move continuously beneath the shoots which are closed during filling in there retracted position, by fixed members 9. A crank 6 and linkage 7, 8 for each of the two sets of shoots shown, moves them with the bucket conveyer while they discharge. The buckets are aligned with funnels 11 on a wheel 10 as the conveyer 3 reverses and an annular fixed cam (not shown), opens their bottom flaps to permit emptying into the containers P.
