A continuously-moving fabric or other web i centred by means of a number of rollers 2 e.g. three, over which the web passes, the rollers 2 being carried by a frame pivotable about a central axis 10, to correct deviation, by devices controlled by another roller 1 carried by a frame 4 pivoted about an axis 5 in the same plane as axis 10. Movement of the roller 1 about its pivot axis 5 due to web deviation from centre causes operation of a lever 6 connected to the pivot and also to a valve 8 controlling the admission of pneumatic pressure to a pipe 16 connected to a chamber 47 on one side of an elastic diaphragm 19 connected to a rod 14. The rod 14 is connected to a rod 13 subjected to spring pressure 15 at its other end. A link 12 connects the rod 13 to a lever attached to the pivot 10, so that movement of the rod 13 caused by a variation in the air pressure in chamber 47 due to the roller 1 being moved by web deviation from centred position, effects movement of the rollers 2 to correct the deviation.
