[Also in Division C7] An anti-seizing surface suitable for use in a liquid sodium system is formed by oxidizing an alloy consisting of Fe containing 3-35 atom per cent Al or an alloy consisting of V containing 3-40 atom per cent Al, by heating the alloys in an atmosphere of helium and hydrogen saturated with water vapour at 0‹ C., at about 1000‹ C.
