A tube closure assembly, comprising an apertured resilient cap 18 and a fixed closure mandrel 14, differs from the closure described in the parent Specification in that the inner cylindrical portion of the cap 18 merges smoothly into a dome-shaped head portion, and the rim of the aperture, which is centrally situated in the head portion, makes surface-to-surface contact with the mandrel 14 when in the closed position.
