Abstract

1,160,204. Spray producers. SPRAYBOY G.m.b.H. 7 March, 1968 [17 March, 1967], No. 11249/68. Heading B2F. Detachable actuating devices for spray cans comprise an actuating member 9' which acts on the nozzle head operating as a valve of the spray can, a guide chamber 7 surrounding the nozzle head and having a jet pipe 8 at least substantially aligned with the jet thereof and an air supply duct 6 aligned with the nozzle jet, means operable by the actuating member to regulate the amount of air which can be aspirated through said' duct into said guide chamber for admixing directioned, dosable air to the spray jet 4. The amount and direction of the air may be varied by using the actuating member 9' as a wall of the duct, and by the variable space between the trigger 9" and the pistol grip 6'. A hole 11 may be provided in the base of the pistol grip for venting the device in intermittent operation, and a pressure compensating chamber may be provided surrounding and communicating with the guide chamber and the atmosphere.
