Abstract
1,159,634. Ion sources. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. 5 Feb., 1968 [8 Feb., 1967], No. 5600/68. Heading H1D. A porous tungsten wall of a thermionic anode in an ion source as described in Specification 1,020,197, has a coating of Os-Ir alloy. The ion emission is stated to be higher than with a coating of Ir and substantially the same as with a coating of Os while the life of the source is longer.
