Abstract

1426509 Electron guns HITACHI Ltd 4 June 1973 [9 June 1972] 26496/73 Heading H1D A field emission electron gun with a filament heater 2 which maintains the cathode at a constant temperature between 100‹ and 500‹ C. to stabilize the emitted electron current. The gun is used in scanning electron microscopes and is maintained at the high temperature when not in use.
