Abstract

1,158,678. Suction dredgers. MINERAAL TECHNOLOGISCH INSTITUUT. 21 Sept., 1967 [6 Oct., 1966], No. 42920/67. Heading E1F. The height of the gap between the suction intake of a suction dredger and a submerged layer being dredgd thereby is automatically kept to a minimum that just prevents cavitation in the suction pipe the dredger or stalling of the suction pump of the dredger by means controlled by the pressure recorded in the suction pipe at a point before the intake to the pump.
