Abstract

1,157,631. Multi-pin plugs. SEALECTRO Ltd., and S. T. DEAKIN. 12 May, 1967 [19 May, 1966], No. 22403/66. Heading H2E. A multi-pin plug comprises a plurality of first pins electrically connected together, and a plurality of second, separately constructed pins, insulated from each other and from the first pins. As shown, first pins 4 are formed integrally from a conducting strip 1, attached to an insulating plate 3, and the coplanar second pins 2 are attached to the plate and/or the strip and are insulated from the strip. A cut-out 5 in the plate 3 divides each pin 2 into two portions 16, 17 which are joined by a diode 6. The strip 3 may have two sets of cut-outs 5, 5a. Plugs may be clamped together to form a single pushin unit, and in this case alternate plugs have their diodes 6 in positions 5 and the intermediate plugs have diodes 6a in positions 5a. The pins 2, 4 may be ribbed.
