Abstract

An electrical pin board has an insulating front component 1 pierced by pin apertures 9 and a rear one pierced by larger holes in one to one correspondence with the pin apertures. Inserts 5 of insulating material in the latter leave passageways 12, 13 at their sides, occupied by the tab portions 31, 41 of paired contacts 3, 4. The bases 33, 43 of these lie between the main board components and are separated by an insulating spacer 6. They carry spring ears 36, 46, those on one contact extending into the pin aperture and the ones on the other into a recess in the inserts. When a conductive pin is pushed into aperture 9 it passes through holes 35, 45 in the bases of the contacts and 17 in the spacer and engages both sets of spring ears, establishing electrical contact.
