1,155,650. Container closures. GENERAL MOTORS CORP. 21 Dec., 1967 [22 Dec., 1966], No. 58088/67. Heading B8T. A radiator cap 22 has a vent opening 44 through which excess pressure in the interior of the radiator 10 can be vented to atmosphere by way of a valve 50, the cap also having a filter element 60 interposed in the flow path to atmosphere; the path passing via apertures 34 in a valve cage 26 to an overflow pipe 32. A member 54 of the valve 50 includes a vacuum relief valve 58. A gasket 72 forms a seal against the radiator filler neck.
