Abstract

1,150,227. Hydraulic motor control circuits. T.M.M. (RESEARCH) Ltd. June 2, 1966 [June 17, 1965], No.25697/65. Heading F1P. [Also in Division D1] End ports 23, 24 Fig. 1 of a hydraulic cylinder 13 through one end of which passes the rod of a double-acting piston 11 are connected through a reversing valve 18 to the inlet 15 and outlet 16 of a metering pump 14 and surplus fluid withdrawn from the larger area side of the cylinder during the inward stroke is delivered by the pump 14 through said valve 18 and through a relief valve 28 to a reservoir 25, whilst extra fluid required by said larger area side of the cylinder during the outward stroke is supplied by a pump 26 drawing from reservoir 25 and delivering through valve 18 to the inlet of pump 14. During the inward stroke all the delivery of pump 26 is exhausted through valve 28 but during the outward stroke only the surplus to the fluid required by pump 14 is exhausted through valve 28. A safety valve 31 is connected to the delivery line of pump 14. The piston rod is coupled to a pair of racks 35, 36 Fig.3 engaging pinions 41, 43 secured to shafts 42, 44 for reciprocating ring rails 32, 33 of a draw twister.
