Abstract
1,149,325. Dispensing from collapsible tubes. SIMPLEX DISPENSERS Inc. 16 Jan., 1968, No. 2243/68. Heading B8D. [Also in Division F2] A dispensing holder 12 of plastics for an inverted liquid-containing resilient plastics tube has a threaded bore 14 for the tube neck, closed by a valve plate 32 slidden rightwards to the open position, Fig. 9 (not shown), against the bias of a spring 50 by inwards depression of a lever 21 to squeeze the tube. The lever 21 engages the tube at its upper end, its lower end 49 abutting and sliding over the inner face of an upright arm 56 of the valve plate 32. The sides (43), Fig. 6 (not shown), of the valve plate 32, slide in grooves in the holder 12. Holes (58, 59), Fig. 7 (not shown), in the bottom of the holder 12 and in the valve plate 32, may be aligned for draining. The holder 12 is slidden into and retained in a vertically slotted wall bracket 25. The plastics tube may have a screw-off bottom, Fig. 10 (not shown), so that it can be refilled without removal from the holder 12.
