Abstract

1,202,703. Holders for collapsible tubes. D. N. BROMAGE. 24 Nov., 1967 [29 Nov., 1966; 4 Feb., 1967], Nos. 53298/66 and 5513/67. Heading B8D. A dispensing holder 1 of plastics, for a collapsible tube 3 screwed into a nozzle 6, has a slotted spindle 8 which receives the closed end of the tube. The spindle 8 is rotated stepwise by back and forth movement of, e.g. a handle 13a acting through a ratchet clutch 12. As the tube 3 is wound on to the spindle 8 the latter slides down a slot 9, and groove 10, in the holder 1. The holder 1 has a, flip-off cap 7 and the nozzle 6 may incorporate a self closing valve. In a modification, the handle 13a is replaced by a hand operated rack (16), Fig. 3 (not shown), which is moved vertically downwards against the bias of a spring (18) and meshes a toothed wheel journalled on the spindle 8 to drive through the ratchet clutch 12.
