Abstract

1,148,216. Endless conveyers. B.R.R. Ltd. 1 April, 1968 [14 March, 1967], No. 11902/67. Addition to 1,085,539. Heading B8A. [Also in Division C3] In the apparatus of the parent Specification the conveyer is driven stepwise by means of a piston and cylinder which rotates a wheel or wheels driving the conveyer in an intermittent fashion through the intermediary of a clutch device. The clutch device is suitably a sprag clutch. It is also preferred that the backstop comprises a ratchet wheel, a roller track, and spring-loaded rollers mounted between them.
