Abstract
1,148,174. Receiving sheet for silver salt diffusion transfer. EASTMAN KODAK CO. April 12, 1966 [April 12, 1965], No.16040/66. Heading G2C. A receiving sheet for the silver salt diffusion transfer process comprises a non-light-sensitive photographic layer containing development nuclei or a substance capable of forming development nuclei with dissolved silver salts, carried by a polyolefin coated paper sheet in which the polyolefin coating contains a white pigment e. g. TiO 2 and an optical brightening agent and having a moisture vapour transmission rate less than 0À5 gm/100 sq. ins. /24 hrs. Development nuclei listed include complex salts of heavy metals with thioacetamide, dithiooxamide and dithiobuiret. The polyolefin coating may be flame treated, oxidized or subjected to electron bombardment or U. V. irradiation to produce a hydrophilic surface or given a glassy or matte surface. The brightener may be 4À4<SP>1</SP>-bis benzoxazol -2-yl) stilbene, the compounds of formula and n or the compounds of Specifications 786,234 and 1,072,914.
