Abstract

1,147,293. Hydraulic jacks. OFFSHORE CO. 4 Sept., 1967 [29 Sept., 1966], No. 40332/67. Heading B8J. [Also in Division E1] A marine platform is supported by a leg 11 having three spaced members 14 interconnected by lateral bracing 15, jacking assemblies 16 being mounted one on each member 14 and each including a pair of crescent-like yokes 21 disposed longitudinally, of each member 14, a jack 23 connecting each yoke and a pin and cylinder device 22 being mounted at each end of each yoke. Each member 14 has a pair of apertured racks 18 for removable engagement with pin 25 of device 22. In the embodiment described each packing assembly 16 is positioned between deck 13 and jack-house 17 of the marine platform for alternating engagement with buffers 20, Fig. 3 (not shown) on the deck and jackhouse. Removable guide brackets 27, each including a bearing pad 29 are each mounted on a side of device 22 opposite the voke 21 to be in slightly spaced relation to the side of rack 18. Bumpers 30 are also provided centrally of each yoke to guide the jacking assembly along member 14
