Abstract
1,145,598. Tube walls. L. & C. STEINMULLER G.m.b.H. 1 Feb., 1967 [2 March, 1966], No. 4938/67. Heading F4B. A gas-tight finned tube wall is formed from tubes 1 with longitudinal fins 2, welded at the end of one of the fins to sheet metal strips 4 extending between the tubes. The tubes may be provided with studs 5 on one side and be completely or partially embedded in a refractory and/or heat insulating material 6. V-section weld seams, weld beads, underfaced powder welds or carbon dioxide welding may be used. In a modification (Fig. 1), the fins of the tubes may be point, plug or roll welded to a continuous plate.
