1,145,419. Beam axle suspensions. DAIMLER-BENZ A.G. 29 Feb., 1968 [7 March, 1967], No. 9836/68. Heading B7D. In a vehicle suspension including an axle 2 sprung by air or gas springs 3 and located by spring leaves 1, the deflection of which is limited by spreading leaves 5, 6, the springs 3 are attached to the axle 2 through the uppermost spreading leaf 5. The spreading leaves 5 may be made of a hollow box section the interior of which forms an additional air reservoir for the springs 3.
