1382215 Beam axle suspensions; torsion bar stabilizers MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NURNBERG AG 22 Aug 1973 [22 Aug 1972] 39716/73 Heading B7D A rigid rear axle sprung by air or coil springs is connected to a vehicle frame by a single longitudinal guide rod 6 and a torsion bar stabilizer 1 having a closed rectangular form. The guide rod 6 is connected to the axle and frame by spherical bearings 7, 8, and the stabilizer 1 is connected to the axle and frame by bearings 2, 3, 4, 5 having shoulders through which lateral forces are transmitted. The bearings 2, 3, 4, 5 may alternatively be spherical bearings.
