Abstract

In order that a tensioning rod 2 in an offset cylinder may be used, if necessary, to tension the blanket in both the clockwise and anticlockwise directions, a pivoted double pawl 6 is provided for engagement with a ratchet wheel 3 which is fast with the rod. The pawl 6 may be swung into two extreme positions in each of which the appropriate pawl engages the wheel 3. In the mid position of the pawl the rod 2 is free to be rotated in both directions. A member 4 swingable about the rod 2 is used to move the double pawl into each of its three positions.
