Abstract

1,140,355. Two stroke engines; driving gear. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. May 17, 1966 [April 14, 1965], No.15904/65. Heading F1B. The pistons 21, 22, of inter-connected cylinders are connected by rods 24, 25, to a common bigend bearing block 28 which has an arm 33 pivoted to a link 34 which is pivoted at 34A on the crankcase. The link 34 controls the motor of the block 28 such that the exhaust port 19 opens and closes before the inlet port 18.
