Abstract

113,933. Kops, W. March 7, 1917, [Convention date]. Bust improvers; body under garments. - A brassiere comprises both a body member or camisole and bust forms. The camisole may be formed of two parts 10, 11, united permanently at the back by stitches 12 and, when in use, at the front by buttons 13 and button holes 14 on the two free edges. It is provided with shoulder straps 15, 16. The bust forms are secured to the interior of the body member, and consist on each side of a piece of fabric 19, usually elastic, having border straps 20, 25 along its edges. The strap 25 is provided with eyes 26 to engage with hooks on the corresponding edge of the other bust form, while to the strap 20 are connected laces 21 which pass through the eyelets 18 of an anchor strap 17 secured to the body member vertically under the arm hole. These laces are joined to a tape 23 which passes through a hole in a tab 24 and in the body member. The bust forms are first secured together, then the free ends of the two tapes are tied together so as to adjust the bust forms as required, and finally the camisole is secured.
