A sieve drum treatment device for loose textile material, lengths of textile material and the like has a suction fan 6 arranged in a fan chamber 4 relative to each drum 5 which passes air over heaters 7 into upper and lower air inlet chambers 9 having constricting elements, e.g. an adjustably mounted wall 11 and shaped baffles 14 on a framework 13 so that the chambers 9 extend over along the axial direction of the drum and are of diminishing cross-sectional area in the flow direction to achieve uniform distribution of the air into the drums.
