An emergency support ring for a tubeless tyre 2 is formed of arcuate segments 3 each secured to the wheel rim by a screw 4 and carrying springs 6 whose free ends are forced out of apertures 3c when the segments are secured to the rim, to press the tyre beads 2a against the rim flanges 1a.
