1,027,879. Pneumatic tyres. MOHAWK RUBBER CO. Nov. 6, 1964 [Sept. 21, 1964], No. 45449/64. Heading B7C. A removable sidewall trim 12 for a pneumatic tyre is received in a groove 11 defined by spaced annular shoulders 7, 9 overhanging the edges of the trim. The radial length of the exposed portion of the trim being substantially equal to the combined radial lengths of its unexposed portions so that it will be securely retained. The free edges of the shoulders may be chamfered (Fig. 3, not shown). In a modification (Fig. 4, not shown) several trim rings 12b of circular cross-section are received in corresponding concentric grooves in the tyre sidewall. _______
