Abstract
1,137,464. Treating soil. HENKEL & CIE G.m.b.H. 7 July, 1967 [15 July, 1966], No. 31410/67. Heading C1B. Soil is treated with aqueous sodium silicate solution and stable acid silica aquasol separately in either order. The sol may be produced by the addition of acid to sodium or potassium silicate solution. The acid may be formic, acetic, humic, or phosphoric acid. The sol may have a pH of 2-5, an SiO 2 content of up to 6%, and may be stabilized by urea or a humate. 40-200 gm/m<SP>2</SP> of SiO 2 may be added to the soil to produce a soil pH of 5-8.
