Abstract

1,136,448. Cams. NEDSCHROEF OCTROOI MAATSCHAPPIJ N.V. 5 Dec., 1966 [17 Dec., 1965], No. 54367/66. Heading F2K. [Also in Division B3] An upsetting machine, particularly for forming screw and like blanks, comprises a die 10 with an ejector 25 actuated through a lever 18, 20 by a cam 16 on a rocker shaft 15, the cam having an adjustable camming surface. The rocker shaft 15 has a number of slots within each of which is pivoted at 26 a segmental cam 16, biased inwardly by a tension spring 38. A screw 31 co-operates with an abutment 30 for moving the cam outwardly. The machine has a plurality of parallel dies 10, Fig. 1 (not shown which co-operate with punches 9 on a horizontal slide (8) actuated by a crank-shaft 4 driven by an electric motor 1.
