Abstract

1,135,883. Writing instruments. MONTBLANC-SIMPLO G.m.b.H. 19 Jan., 1967 [21 Jan., 1966], No. 2826/67. Heading B6P. In a writing instrument wherein a protective cap has an internal circumferential groove for engagement with a spring ring on the barrel, the spring 6 has several projecting parts 6<SP>1</SP> and is mounted in a groove so that only the parts 6<SP>1</SP> are visible. In one form, the groove is provided in a separate member 7 insertable between two parts of the barrel, but the groove may be formed in abutting parts of the barrel. As shown in Fig. 5, the spring 6 is replaced by a number of separate springs 16. The member 7 may be translucent or transparent so that the level of the ink can be observed.
