A watch case element comprises a central transparent or translucent glass 4 and surrounding transparent or translucent annular member 5 in which a groove 6 is formed opening on to the dial (not shown) of the watch, one of the walls of the groove being inclined to the general plane of the glass 4 and having facets 7 thereon for producing a scintillation effect.
